I’m a Graphic Designer/Creative Strategist/Art Director/Culture Collector (among many other things) and graduate from the University of Oregon with concurrent degrees in Art and Advertising. I’m trying to take more risks, see the world, and just LIVE a little more each day. Despite all the craziness, life really is, quite beautiful.
FREE TIME CONSISTS OF:
LAUGHING, art, doodling, singing, blogging, longboarding, playing piano & guitar, searching public libraries and thrift stores, being Greek, Ralph Waldo Emerson, quoting Dane Cook/Chris Rock, Mehndi, Spanish, letterpress, screen printing, collecting things, ideal journals, advertising, design, pre-94 Michael Jackson, COSTUME PARTIES, TED lectures, sugar highs, scatergories, COOKING, Tacos Pastor, my family, TRAVELING, knitting, taking deep breaths on crisp mornings and seeing the world.
TUNES:
Incubus, Foo Fighters, Diana Krall, Jack Johnson, Amy Winehouse, Mariah, Alanis, Chili Peppers, Alanis, Juanes, Sinatra, Chopin, Vivaldi, Beatles, Sheryl Crow, Madonna, Atmosphere, Sublime, Joss Stone, jazz, anything acoustic, guilty pleasure pop songs…I’m really eclectic and listen to EVERYTHING.
SILVER SCREEN AND THE TUBE:
In terms of TV, anything on the Discovery and History channels, I will watch non-stop. Especially Shark Week. Watchout. Movies? The Count of Monte Cristo, Shawshank Redeption, Motorcycle Diaries, City of God, The Royal Tennenbaums, The Birdcage, Catch Me If You Can, Analyze This, Love Actually, Matchstick Men, The Break Up, Sideways, 40-year old virgin, An American in Paris, Walk the Line, Good Will Hunting, Erin Brockovich, Chicago, Mystic River, Little miss Sunshine, Run Lola Run, The Departed, Pirates of the Caribbean, Oceans 11 & 12, Tim Burton & Wes Anderson movies, documentaries & indie films
LINES THAT I LIVE BY
It is your work in life that is the ultimate seduction. -Pablo Picasso
I didn’t grow up idolizing rock stars so much as I did romanticizing the idea of living a creative and expressive life. -Brandon Boyd
Advertising is the most fun you can have with your clothes on. -Charlie Frazer
There comes a time in every man’s education when he arrives at the conviction that envy is ignorance, and imitation is suicide; that he must take himself for better or worse as his portion. It is easy in the world to live after the worlds opinion, it is easy in solitude to live after your own. But, the truly great man is he, who in the midst of the crowd keeps with the perfect sweetness, the independence of solitude.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson
